You don’t have to be a writer to tell a meaningful story.

The stories shared through Our Voices. Our Stories. aren’t about perfect grammar or polished writing. They’re about real people sharing real experiences that may encourage, comfort, or inspire someone else.

Whether you write a few paragraphs or several pages, we’ll work with you to prepare your story for publication while preserving your voice. There is no right or wrong way to begin. Simply tell your story.

Need a little help getting started? Below you’ll find optional prompts to guide your writing. You don’t need to answer every question or even answer them in order. Use whatever helps you tell your story.

Drag & Drop Files, Choose Files to Upload You can upload up to 3 files.
Attach the photo(s) that you'd like us to use for the entry. This photo should include the face of your loved one, ideally without others in the picture.

What was the happiest moment of your life?

Thom:
The birth of my two daughters. That was the fulfilment and expansion of our marriage and creation of family. The birth of our girls brought me into a whole new realm I didn’t know existed. Becoming a father allowed me to change the cycle and truly create family.

Dianne:
The happiest day of my life was the day I married Thom.

What was the happiest moment of your life?

I would have to say it was my 75th birthday party. It was a complete surprise to me and it was a very special day. The weather was perfect and best of all everyone I knew was there to celebrate with me, friends and family many of whom traveled a great distance to join the celebration.

What was the happiest moment of your life?

The day I got married – June 3, 1967. I’d gone 40 years and I had been afraid of girls (chuckle). She (Ethel) was just bubbly, outgoing, and had a wonderful disposition. She was a beautiful person to be around.
