CINCINNATI – May 14, 2024—The Giving Voice Foundation has some exciting news to share. We’ve managed to get our hands on one of the rarest and most sought-after 5-bottle antique bourbon collections in the country, and we’re raffling it off on National Bourbon Day, June 14th at 7 pm! This special collection includes the highly coveted and extremely limited release, Eagle Rare 17, from Buffalo Trace’s 2023 Antique Collection, with a value of $10,000!

You see, every autumn, Buffalo Trace, America’s most awarded distillery, located in Frankfort, Kentucky, releases a limited collection of American whiskeys called the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC). The 2023 Collection consists of three bourbons and two ryes, the most highly sought-after American whiskeys. The 2023 release of Eagle Rare 17 is the oldest in the collection’s 23-year history, bottled at 19 years and three months. Only a handful of this exclusive, limited collection was released to select retailers across the State of Ohio.

Now, let’s talk about the five bottles making up the 2023 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection: George T. Stagg Bourbon, Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Sazerac Rye 18-Year-Old Whiskey, William Larue Weller Bourbon, and last but not least, the prized Eagle Rare 17-Year-Old Bourbon, which happens to be the oldest expression of Eagle Rare 17 ever produced. Learn more about these delectable whiskeys through this article by Forbes.

This extremely rare and valuable antique bourbon collection was obtained thanks to the generosity of a very kind donor who wishes to remain anonymous. True bourbon lovers out there should consider this as possibly their only and very real chance to win this highly desirable 5-bottle collection, with an estimated value of more than $10,000

Dr. Christian Gausvik, MD, our founder and board president of Giving Voice Foundation, expressed his standpoint on the matter: “We continue to look for new ways to support funding for our programming that enables us to keep offering them to Cincinnati’s aging community at no charge. As we diversify our fundraising efforts beyond hosting annual events, we felt this unique and rare raffle would be a great way to engage and encourage our bourbon-loving Tri-state to get involved in our important cause!”

We aim to raise $20,000 through the raffle to support our free community programs provided to older adults with Alzheimer’s and dementia and their caregivers.

The raffle proceeds will directly support the free, interactive music and movement initiatives for local seniors, including our programs Creative Connections, Music in Motion, Brains in Bloom, and Dancing to Remember, a ballroom dancing program. We also offer complimentary writing programs, Caring for the Caregiver, and peer support for caregivers during Creative Connections and our Purposeful Planning Program.

With more than 126,000 older adults across the Greater Cincinnati area currently affected by this life-altering diagnosis, the Giving Voice Foundation exists to help them all receive much-needed support and achieve their highest quality of life through connection and movement.

Anyone aged 21 and above can purchase raffle tickets, which are 1 for $25 or 5 for $100. Raffle tickets may be purchased online now at cincybourbonraffle.com.

The winner will be drawn at 7:00 p.m. on June 14, 2024, National Bourbon Day, and contacted by phone. The collection must be picked up in person locally in Cincinnati.
